ABOUT ON THE BRINK at WALKER-CUNNINGHAM FINE ART

Jessica Brilli, a Long Island native, had her first solo gallery exhibition in 2014 at Walker-Cunningham Fine Art (then located in Greater Boston).  Today, as Brilli moves from emerging to established, Walker-Cunningham Fine Art presents On the Brink - the first survey of Brilli’s ascendent career.  With this exhibition of 19 original paintings created over the last decade including several new and showing for the first time, we celebrate the work of an artist whose unique interpretation of the American Scene is both resonant and impactful.

Brilli draws her inspiration from the objects and panoramas of mid-century American life.  Finding nostalgia and meaning in the countless Kodachrome slides and photos she collects along with vintage objects, and antique automobiles, Brilli builds views of landscapes – urban and suburban as well as objects - radios, televisions, telephones, typewriters - from a quintessential collective experience.
